I was invited to a cooking demonstration event by Chef Tetsuya. He is friendly yet professional and we got to sample some of his dishes and picked up a few tips to make our own yummy food at home. He prepared sauces for fresh oysters, whipped up baked ocean trout, served ocean trout sashimi, and cooked the best spanner crab with soft boiled eggs and caviar tasted till date. I wish I can afford his 10-course degustation menu at MBS. Boo.

Any recommendation of must go/must do/must eat?

I grabbed this from my sister’s FB page and thought it’s oh so true! I face this problem less often because I get to wear this fugly uniform when I work at the Frontline . So for me, it only happens twice a week. Hah.

My staff gave this to me on Valentine’s day and I thought it is nice to brighten up my work desk! My boy left me alone at home to go KL with his friends over the weekend! I was packing a little and doing some chores. It’s really hard to survive a weekend  without anyone to talk to. Bah. While clearing up the place, I need a few reminders to prevent our place from cluttering up again and reduce, reuse, recycle.

Here are some rules:-

1. Do not bring home any more food / snacks if I do not intend to finish them (this is tempting especially for my work nature with so many samples and goodies given to us by suppliers)
2. Do not bring home any random things which may not suit our home decor
3. Do not cling on to something which I have not been using for years or looked at for years (I am trying to get rid of some old books and medals!)
4. Do not bring home any fancy shopping paper bags because I have tons of it of all shapes and sizes (Reduce and Reuse!)

As the Sports Captain of my company’s Social Recreation Committee, I assisted to lead a dragon boating event held last weekend and gosh, we had a splashing good time! It is my first time trying dragon boating and the technique is rather different from canoeing!

Even though the weather was a little wet initially, it all turned out well! We also rowed towards Singapore Flyer which gave us great pictures against our cityscape! It was cloudy and all that day but I was still toasted like a lobster there after! Hah.

You must be wondering if I am alive as I was missing in action for almost a month. If you are curious of what the past few weeks of my life looks like, fret not, you have not missed out on anything. It was pure fire fighting at work, transforming snowy Christmas mood into Ching Chong Lunar New Year mood within 3 days, and 13 hours work day everyday for the next 21 days.

I finally got to rest my feet and mind last Sunday, CNY Eve day at 5pm and am back to work this morning to give out red packets on behalf of my company. Yes, I only rested for 1.5 days. So, if you are feeling BLUE about going back to work after 4 rest days, think about me and you will feel much better.

This once a year torture is finally over and I am finally free! I love how my calendar looks like for the next two weeks! I’ll be taking leave on Friday (I’ve yet to inform my boss HAH), visiting vertical farm, partying at Hooters for our executive gathering, having Management Trainee dinner and messing up more Yu Sheng and I love it!

I am finally back and you can expect more posts in the next few days. I’ve yet to post up some of my favourite wedding pictures from OEC and many other random thoughts and posts!

A Very She & Him Christmas – She & Him

This CD totally rocks my Christmas world! I love that it sounded different from the usual Christmas songs adding a little edgy and quirky touch to Christmas! Right, I’m also a little bias because I love Zooey Deschanel ! Her character in New Girl is awkward yet cool and I’m just curious how she sounds! An unlikely Christmas song “Baby, it’s cold outside” is cheeky and oh so appropriate for the cold cold weather. Haha.

The Gift – Corrinne May

Her voice is heavenly! Even though this sounded like a typical Christmas Carol voice but don’t you love her angelic and soothing songs during this joyful season! Also, this is the only Christmas album which actually worship and praise our Lord Almighty!

I love Glee, period. Haha. It adds a modern twist to Christmas!

Connie Talbot’s Christmas Album – Connie Talbot

Her voice is angelic yes, but there are a couple of songs which went a little too high pitch for my liking. But for her age, she is good.

Under the Mistletoe – Justin Bieber

I am not a fan of inconsistent Christmas album. One minute it is blasting some high pitch song, the other minute it is an R&B Christmas song trying too hard and the next minute it is this soulful vocal rendition of a prepubescent boy with Mariah Carey. OMG. The only reason this CD is picked – to appease the younger audience at Frontline.

I wanted to pick up Michael Buble’s Christmas album too but I ran out of budget and our CD player can only hold 5 CDs at a time. HAHA. Perhaps next year.
