The Loft

Came across Allister Ann’s little project in transforming her house into a home. It was brilliant. Just looking at the little details and creativity around her house makes me excited!

I think I need her study!

All photos are from here. The photos I picked her didn’t do her justice (only those which I thought will come in handy in the future! HAH) so you got to see them all here.

I love what I saw at Apartment Therapy!

Hurry up!

I love how this looks.

Do you think this plain table and bench can pull off the look with two additional ghost chair? We love wooden furnitures. Espcially solid wood because it will bear characters over time.

He likes plain lines. I like whimsical items. It will definitely suit our Scandinavian-Vintage-Whimsical look! We previously agreed on Scandinavian-New Yorker-Loft but I not so secretly altered our theme. Hee.

We love Robinson Expo sale! They always have good stuff unlike John Little Expo sale which is often crappy! We bought a whole lot of cheap deals for our future home!

The champagne flutes come in a set of six and it cost only $15! One of our best buys! The original cost was about 50 odd! It’s heavy, comes with a crisp “cling” sound (my ultimate test for glassware) and the height is just right.

My favourite buy! These mugs with the vintage print of a blender are just right for our Scandinavian-quirky-cool-loft theme! It’s $15 for a set of four and we bought two sets! We will be serving our guests with these mugs!

His favourite buy, a tea pot! Erm. It is not exactly cheap but we are both tea lovers and he wants to bring em to his office!

These mirror frames are our second best buy! The original price was 30 odd and now it’s only selling at two for 20! Insane!

This is totally random but I once saw this recipe book stand in a magazine and I’ve been looking for one! The ones in Ikea don’t make the cut and I’m glad it’s only $11.50 for this! How awesome!

Sigh. All these purchases made me realize I’m a shopaholic! Even shopping for random household items makes me happy!

I saw the veil come off in part today, and i was smitten by the off-white facade glowing in the glorious sunset.

I can just imagine sipping a mojito with the missus at the balcony already. Nice!

It’s almost done! Hurry up!

We found a little treasure trove at The Esplanade Mall and we simply adore their store decor! It’s going to be an inspiration for our little Loft (I know our little apartment is not a Loft by definition, but I don’t care! I’m just going to call it our little loft!)

He likes the industrial looking racks! He’s trying to persuade me in using this for my dressing room.

I like the idea of framing random items on the wall. He loves the de-plastered wall!

This looks cute and we may want this for our bomb shelter.

We went shopping and found a sweet owl and a canvas print for our new home!

He fell in love with this canvas print and I love New York!

OMG!

Back to reality! The only thing we can afford from SPACE is the inspiration of having rows of spotlights along our corridors leading to our room.
