We head over to Alph and Phil new place on Saturday and gosh, I love the location of her place! Right smack in Holland Village, with various facilities and a MRT station right at her door step. The location cannot get any better! Even though their place is a tiny 3 bedroom flat, it is cozy enough for both of them and Mocha. Haha. It’s easy to clean up too!

I was amazed by how little belongings Alph has. I really need to de-clutter our home!

At the back of her place, there is a nice “Zi Char” stall and clay pot rice which we packed for dinner! Awesome food! After dinner we walked to 2AM dessert bar and gosh, it is the most expensive dessert place ever. It is nice but definitely not worth $16 to $18 for that tiny portion of constructed dessert! Definitely overpriced! But their staff’s knowledge and service is amazing.

We also tried their dessert wine which was carefully paired with one of the dessert. This Hungary dessert wine is yummy. All girls love dessert wine. Haha.

Will I ever go back to 2AM? No. I’ve tried it, it’s enough. There are many other dessert places which offer yummy and value treats!

It’s been one month! Don’t forget to save girls! Here’s to remind you of the consequences if you don’t! Haha.

Right after our church wedding ceremony, we had a toss the bouquet session! Some of the single ladies were gamed for it and we had a fun time! Guess what? CW caught the bouquet and yes, she is the next bridesmaid getting married after our wedding! Haha.

We took some group pictures at The Armenian Church with our bridesmaids and groomsmen and I must say, the girls are hot and the guys are funny! Haha. And I have pictures to prove it! On a side note, I love Armenian Church and the greenery and yard in front of the church!

We just had a CNY gathering with the SSSS girls and their plus ones! I’m blessed to marry a Masterchef who prepared all the food for our steamboat! Perfect soup and yummy ingredients! The SSSS girls also brought along drinks, wine and cakes! Flare was here too and she is too cute and friendly to resist! Haha. But we all agree she can be a little more active! CW should register for Boot Camp training for Flare! Maybe I should start a Boot Camp for dogs to make them exercise more! Hah! Great company and great food! Love it!

All the girls are getting married this year! Yay! Join our club!

A few weeks back, we hosted close to 20 people in our tiny little place! Jason couldn’t believe we can do that, but we did! People were flowing all over the place! Haha.

There were tons of food (turkey, ham, beef, pork, salad, sushi, logcake!), tons of alcohol (red, white, sweet, beer, vodka mix), tons of laughter (with ZN’s brainy reverse bingo game and silly party games), tons of presents (where we did our yearly secret santa gift exchange) and tons of friends (from the 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th batch of management trainee, 2 plus ones, and one Tim Heng out of no where)!

We had a blast and it was a successful party with great fun and great turnout!

The gift to the girls is (1) a good habit especially for Sue Ann to cultivate for the next year, (2) an activity which we will be doing together at the end of next year, (3) a commitment to our friendship when they choose to participate in this, (4) a jolly good time for the winner and friends and lastly (5) a gleeful performance to watch when the loser performs a penalty! (I should be in marketing! Haha, selling ideas of a simple item!)

photo (7)

My gift to the girls is a pretty little cupcake coin bank! Sue Ann and I got the pink one and Siqi and CW got a purple one! We each commit to start saving all the coins we have starting from the 1st January 2012 till 31 December 2012 (no cheating and no notes!). At the end of next year, we will go to one of the girl’s place to count all the money we saved!

Before we start saving we each came out with an activity which we would like to do together as a group. The winner (biggest saver) will be granted the wish with all the money we saved and use it for the activity she picked! The loser (smallest saver) will have to perform a penalty (which is still undecided)!

Here are the activities we picked!

Squareberry: To take a professional photo shoot (I don’t mind this!)

Siqi: To go wakeboarding (Omg! Sounds damn tough!)

Sue Ann: To visit a lesbian club (Serious?!?!)

Serene: To book a villa for a night stay and enjoy a massage!

Girls, if you want to have your activity picked you got to save hard! If you want to avoid going to the activities some others chose, you got to save hard too! Sue Ann, you got to put in effort ya! Haha.

//Psss. CW, I need the picture of us! Haha.

We finally had a SSSS gathering last night! We were supposed to meet in town but my work commitment had me back at Frontline till midnight! Thanks to the girls who came to dine near my workplace, I managed to have a good break in between a 15 hour work day! I have the best girlfriends one can ask for!

We had our belated Christmas gift exchange and all three well travelled girls brought home souvenirs from all over the world, spreading over a few continents! Haha. It feels like Christmas all over again and we each brought home a bagful of goodies!

Siqi also gave me my belated birthday gift and I totally adore it! A card filled with owls which has that pop-out effect! To top it off, an owl bangle! HOOT!

In my next post, I will share with you the exciting gift I gave to the girls!

Over the weekends, we had a triple date gathering where we did potluck! I made some finger licking good roast chicken using the same recipe with tarragon and chicken wings instead! He whipped up some broccoli with mushroom and bacon with asparagus.

Yvonne made some yummy pasta salad and Alph brought a sinful ice cream cake from Island creamery! We opened up a nice bottle of sauv blanc and the night went well! Great company!

Introducing my beloved bridesmaids for my wedding, each of them is different and I’m hoping they will enjoy themselves too! Hi girls, all the pictures are from your  profile pictures in FB so don’t kill me if you don’t like it! I need to find pictures which you are alone in it!

Ok, now starting from my oldest friend…

Yirene

yirene
She is both my sister and childhood friend. Probably my longest friend, I know her starting from 1989. HAH. We quarreled, we fought (verbally and physically, she broke my teeth when we were little), we hugged, we cried, in good times and bad, she is always there. Especially when Jason and I are going through tough patch, she is the one I want to break down and cry and seek her advice or comfort! I may have taken her for granted at times, but I’m really glad and very blessed to have such an awesome sister, who is not just pretty but so cool! She is the pillar of the family, holding our dysfunctional family together. Everyone loves her not just because she is the smarter (debatable) and prettier (debatable) sister, but also because she is so lovable, kind, patience and at the same time quirky yet cool! I love you sister! I’ll miss your nonsense!

Yvonne

yvonne
I know her since Primary school and she was in Chinese dance and in the same class as me! We went to the same secondary school and were both in St John! A down to earth and cheerful girl, we had lots of fun time first at the various dancing performance then together in secondary school! I remembered her mum helping us do our Chinese dance makeup and us doing the random drills and going for camps in secondary school!

Alphania

alphania

I know her in secondary school and she was in Yvonne’s class! She is probably Yvonne’s best friend in her class and we were all in St John! Naturally we hang out together with a few others and had become close friends since then. We went on Genting trip, Redang trip and even climb a mountain (they insist it is a zero level hill) and I almost died up there in the drizzling rain! I think we should plan another trip together soon, somewhere, just to hang out and catch up on time!

Lydia

lydia
She is my poly friends since Year 1 whom I still remain in contact. Lydia and I are like Chalk and Butter – a world of difference. She was the rebellious ones (the fun one too!) and I was the studious one. We complement each other or almost outkill each other! HAHA. Many hours spent mugging together in the library, while I stay focus and nag at her to focus and stop going for her various breaks in between. HAHA. I remembered our stay over at her place and thought then she was definitely a keeper! Me and my bad English but strong analytical and organization skills – or so I claimed, teamed with her impeccable writing and communication skills, we were unbeatable!

Sharon (Lau Eng Ying)

sharon

I met her in my third year and she was stuck with the outcast me in the class. We went through thick and thin, biting the bullets that come with every class presentation. Worked through the night and just before our graduation, she thought she can finally get rid of me and my competitive streak, our marketing research lecturer decided to put us together in a team with two others to join a marketing competition. We slaved through the days and nights during the holidays and she stood by the team even though one team member decides that this competition is not for her. We eventually won as the champion team in the competition beating other tertiary schools including NUS and NTU. In my valedictorian speech, she insists that I gave her credits by mentioning her name. No, neither Sharon nor Sharon Lau is enough. It must be Sharon Lau Eng Ying. HAHA.

Sue Ann

sue ann

Ok, among the SSSS girls, I know Sue Ann first, we worked in some AIDS competition (which she was forced into to work with us) and was in the same final year project too! She is this sweet and ever smiling girl! Her sweet loving nature gained her thousands of Facebook friends (I may have exaggerated this a little!) but yes, because of her massive networks in business school; she hosted a graduation BBQ party at her place! While the rest of the guests ate, drank, gambled and be merry, SSSS came together and started talking about random topics at her living room. Thereafter, we decided that we totally hit it off, and decided that we should do this again and boy oh boy, we are inseparable! We emailed and smsed each other all day long (before whatsapp) and gosh, it has been two years! Can you believe it?

Siqi

sq

She is the hottest among the SSSS girls and was once the Singtel Grid girl contestant! She is the career woman and extremely resourceful and capable! She is probably one of the few who often knocks some sense in our group and come out with practical actions / advice! She is definitely the girl with both the looks and the brain! Haha. She is also a loyal friend who is ever so willing to assist any of us in times of need! I love that she is a darling to her family and also to us! I’m just hoping that HK will not snatch her away from us! MUHAHAH!

Chengwei

cw

Ever generous Chengwei is part of SSSS group too! Her online nickname is Squareberry! HAHA. She is the most musically talented among our SSSS and the tallest too! She is also my benefactor for this blog together with her ever accommodating Lennel! Even though we were both in NUS business school and both in marketing major, we never really had a chance to know each other! We probably bitched together online because of our marketing thesis and complained together online why two top students have not land a job immediately after graduation! We became even closer after the other two SSSS girls come together and we became the best bitching buddies talking about life, work, love and everything else under the sun!
