I’m in love with Green tea Frappuccino.
SIGH. There goes my exercise regime.
While braving the rain, we found a quaint little COFFEE.CURRY place just next to Gotemba Station! The decor of this little store is so adoring that I forgot how mediocre their curry rice was. Pretty!
Super cute! This antique phone!
It’s COFFEE.CURRY after all.
P.S. Will post about my shopping loots and Gotemba Premium Outlet the next time! See ya!
I stopover at Mr Bean earlier on to get a drink to quench my dying thirst but upon seeing their latest March exclusive Green Tea Soya Bean Ice cream (I’m a green tea fanatic!), I ignored my dying throat and got the ice cream instead! It was green-tea-li-cious! The taste of soya bean remained but with a light fragrant green tea twist. It’s good! My happiness lasted 10 minutes after I realized I’m still thirsty. HMPH.

Tsukiji Fish Market - a famous market known for selling bizarre sea creatures and serving up delectable sashimi – was our first stop on the third day. Being lazy holiday-ers, we woke up in time for brunch but not the real market action. HAH
Look out for these flags and you’ll find the street with lots of small sashima store.
We picked a random store and started queuing.
Just look at the queue!
Got hungry while queuing, my food hunting instinct led me to a cute Tamago shop while he continued queuing. HAH. The owners are super cute!
This was how much we paid for the food (SGD 1 : 63 Yen). I realized we spent close to 90 bucks. GASPS.
According to him, it was mind blowing.

I don’t take raw so he ate all these. It’s crazy! All I ate was more Tamago, rice and some seared fish. The chef must have given me a dirty look while I pretend to eat. HAH.
You can only be the real master after you own one of these knifes.
At the market you can find the freshest fruits too! It was the season for strawberries and miniature honey mandarin oranges!
These miniature oranges were so sweet and the tomatoes were the freshest and sweetest he ever tasted!
Yummy!
Have you seen tomatoes grow to such perfection?
And oranges too?
The strawberries were amazing too!
We bought a box and it’s crazy sweet! The market sells them about 200 yen ($3+) cheaper than most supermarkets!
It’s sweeter than Korean strawberries at triple the price!
We walked from Harajuku to Shibuya and saw lots of funny stuff along the way! You’ll see later!
We tried this at along the way and I prefer the ones from Orchard Ion! It’s from the same chain but it’s way crispier!
We walked past a store that sells nothing but boxer briefs (Apparently Japanese men love these!) and they had these rotating butts at their window display! HAHA.
I love shopping at The Loft! Their stuffs are all so adorable!
I wanted to get CW one of these but it was so expensive! Boo. It’s the thought that counts right!
We were at the toy camera section and found some accessories which my down-to-earth camera adores!
We found his family! HAHA. It’s supposed to be a private joke but I’m going to share it here with my SbR readers! When my sister first met him, she thought he actually looks like a frog! (She’s good at associating my friends with animals! HAHA. She once called my friend a Mouse deer. -_- ) So this nickname stuck with him for the longest time. More than 4 years actually. HAH.
He said he can make this lamp for my dressing room so I’m filing this picture here for the record. HAH.
Japanese are crazy about this pinball shooting game.
I found the bicycle of my dream! It’s white. The leather seats and handle are too sexy to resist. The frame. Ooo. It’s a mere SGD 300. You will never find such a pretty at this price in Singapore. I almost wanted to buy it. Get the bicycle shop owner to rip it apart and put it in a box. But he knocked some sense into my head, “Are you sure you want to carry this to Disneyland?”. HMPH.
Even shoes in Japan goes all happy and bright!
Japanese takes product promotion too “seriously” (Part II).
I told you so. They take product promotion too “seriously” (Part III).
I met Hachiko at Shibuya! I can’t wait to get my own pup when our place is here.
We entered a random shop (Not the famous AV shop) and found a sexy butt! HAH. Guess what!
She’s wearing a Thong. Ouch!
Guess what’s this!
It’s a condom! Weird shit! Why does the Japanese need branded rubber?!
This year we didn’t bother with Valentine’s Day celebration. There was no present, no fancy dinner or pretty dress. It was a casual, sloppily dressed late night date at a neighborhood mall, a random movie and a laid-back meal. It was perfect.

Silly Mouse/Cat looking him

Totally unglam.

Ambush – Casual European Dining Place

Mushroom Soup

Seafood Paella

It was neck-breaking and eyes-burning movie experience. Reason? We sat on the first row! HAH.
Baby, you’re my Valentine.
Gaia Korean Restaurant

P.S. I’m not experiencing Korean fever. Yes, I understand. There are too many Korean related entries – e.g Korean BBQ and BB Cream. I mean, what’s not to love?!

The food was good, not particularly mind blowing but definitely above average and rather authentic. The differentiating factor which sets Gaia apart from other restaurants was their commendable service standard! Being in the service industry, I understand the challenges service staff faces and hiring the right kind of people with the right attitude really matters. Throughout my dining experience, their service team was exceptionally attentive, responsive and friendly. I have nothing but praises for their outstanding service.
Some SbR readers may remember one of my New Year Resolution is to write compliment letters for praiseworthy service personnel and so I did. I’ve requested for a feedback card but they ain’t got any, and so with paper and pencil I wrote a long note filled with praises.

Yay! One step closer to my Twenty Ten Resolution!
I love chocolates. I love shoes. This can be perfect.
But I don’t think I will ever put these pretties in my mouth. It’s just so wrong.

“Frances Cooley, a cake maker, launched the range after discovering a vintage chocolate shoe mould in Belgium. She has developed a collection of individual shoes – including zebra stripes and polka dot versions – which she makes by hand in her own kitchen. … She said: ”People are wowed about them because it’s the perfect gift for a woman – chocolate and stiletto shoes put together.”

I know I know. Too many entries about food! You can’t blame me for being a glutton! The pastries from Provence are awesome and if I don’t share this with you guys, I’ll kick myself! Haha.

I love their Walnut Raisins! Love LOVE their crunchy walnuts and sweet raisins! He loves their Milk Bun! Mmmmmm. Soft on the outside, softer on the inside! Oh and their creamy and milky filling. Hmmmm. Provence reminded me of Paris Baguette which I had in Korea!
