We had our “last supper” yesterday. The last gathering where everyone on our batch of exchange had in Vancouver. The place we went to had nice food, excellent ambience and splendid washrooms! I feel like a diva in their toilet! It’s almost like a club without the crowd! Ok, enough of the toilet. I want to extend my gratitude and appreciation to them in times of good and bad, in laughter and bickers (only Wenjing). Thank you all!

These are the people I would like to thank:-

Vanier Peeps:
Dawn: The one I went swimming with, baked cookies and doing other silly stuffs.
Joel: Almost always there for lunching, dinnering and slacking around in Vanier.

Gage Peeps:
Chelsea:
The one who holds intelligent conversations and who simply loves to poke and slap people’s butt.
Wenjing: The always grumpy one but one who is also responsible.
Sharon: Motherly one, who is always so caring, understanding and hospitable. My savior!
Jimmy: Our social butterfly who is full of silly jokes yet also one with “yi qi”
Julian: The gentlemanly one who is also very vain. Julian = Cutting hair).

Fairview Peeps:
Sheryl: The blur and always sleepy one.
Beniah: Big Papa who is always protective and helpful to us.
Siu Kee: The quiet one who listens and observes more than anyone else.

Rits Peep:
Liyong:
The capable guy who is always doing project, and also a Mr Nice guy who knows how to treat a lady.

Thank you all! Enjoy your summer and see you guys soon in Singapore!

Accompanying me in this lonesome night was “consumer behaviour” readings. I thought that’s how my lonely night will end. Till Joel came knocking on my door. “Hey! We are having a party at Dawn’s room!” “Huh???”

Shaun [Dawn’s boyfriend from France was here. Yes, he’s literary from France. But he’s not French. Haha. Singapore-an la! Exchange exchange!], he brought us nice rose vin [wine] and chocolat from La France! Fattening? Yes! Guilty? No! Delicacies!!!!

To Jason: Mon amour. Vous êtes à mon coeur. Dans mon esprit. Jamais une fois loin. Vous. Mon aimé. Mon coeur aspire à toi. Mon esprit s’ennuie de toi. O, mon amour.

Baby this message is for you. Interestingly, I used the Goggle translator to translate from English to French and the above passage was shown. Just to be sure of the message when I translate it back into English. This was what it shown.

French to English:
My love. You are in my heart. In my spirit. Never once far. You. My liked. My heart aspires to you. My spirit is bored of you. O, my love.

My goodness!!! Translator suck! What I typed was…

What I typed:
My love. You are in my heart. In my mind. Never once away. You. My beloved. My heart yearns for you. My mind misses you. O, my love.

I am so not bored of you baby! Hehe….

We were so bored yesterday and thus decided to head down to True Confections for cakes and teas. It was “Yumi-licious”! After having such fulfilling desserts, we head back to Vanier for “Picnic under the stars” at 12 am! Ate pizza and sat in the cold while having heart-to-heart sharing about our opinions on gender differences, sexual issues, marriages and relationships. It’s interesting to hear different views from the guys about these “sensitive” topics. The sharing went on so smoothly as though we were having a camp in our secondary school days. We ended up clearing the site at 3 am! Haha…

Note: Baby guess which cake did I pick? Hehe

It’s the second time that I’m playing tennis! It made me realize that I’m so not a “tennis material” from my coach Sharon and “ball-boy” Beniah!

Comments like
(1) Your posture is a bit weird
(2) Too stiff
(3) Lim-bei lim-bei [New inserts: "According to Jason, this means your father. What I'm trying to say is Lembeh = weak! Definitely nothing to do with your father and I'm not trying to be offensive here. World Peace!"]
(4) Lock your wrists
(5) Eh…. Your posture looks like playing badminton
(6) React react …etc etc. hahaha

Despite my above mentioned flaws we had lots of fun!

Went BC sushi today again! URGH!!! Costing us $25 Canadian!! I’m broke and fat and I’m still gorging myself with food!

3 reasons why I agreed to go
1) Vanier was having a prom night earlier on and there is no food for us at the café!
2) Joel has never been there before and it’s only him and Wenjing if I didn’t go. [What an odd couple.]
3) For the food of course! It’s just too tempting to resist!

Went clubbing last Friday and it was fun except that the club was kind of disappointing compared to what we have in Singapore.

Venue: Caprice
Date: 16th March 2007, Friday
Cover Charge: $10 without drinks (but we got in free thanks to Dawn’s free passes!)
Music: Techno/Mambo/R&B (All in the same night) + too loud and lousy sound system!
Crowd: Old and young (A fishing ground for guys!)
Décor: Blue and red lightings + Disco ball (Jimmy mentioned that the place looks like “Fire” which is a club set up before “Sparks” You can imagine who lousy it is)
Drinks: Bought bottle beer at $5 plus

Overall: 2.5 stars over 5! (Zouk and MOS easily score 4 or 4.5 stars! Haha)

Despite the sucky environment, we had quite a lot of fun too! Haha

Went to Rossini for dessert and their live jazz band, the place is nice and cozy, with nice cakes and ambience. Even though I didn’t order any of the cakes (I’m on strict budget plus diet) I took a bite from the rest. Hehe. The pictures are kind of blurry with the dim orange lights.

Hmm, second day it’s a sightseeing day!!! We went to the flight of museum, kind of nice, with lots of plane! Ahaha, DUH. Ok, there are stories on WW1, WW2 and many planes made of wood and metal! It’s scary to think that people actually fly on wooden plane….

After that, we head down to Pikes Place and found the first Starbucks!! Haha…nothing much though! Lots of seafood, flowers and baskers!

Then we went to the underground tour! It’s unique and something different from the regular tours! It tells the story of how Seattle used to be at the level of current B1! Hmm, ok, after a fire and the persistent sewage problem that Seattle was experiencing then, the government and some business men decided to level up the streets to the height of their then 2nd level! And so, it means that when people want to cross the street then to the other side of the road. They have to climb a flight of stairs from their then level one, up to the street and then down the stairs again. The government realized that it’s not very convenient for their people and not only that, many people actually fall from their death from the second level street and also got knock down by cars and horse carriages when they reach the street. So the government decided to connect the streets to their then second level, thus the second level becomes the first, the third becomes the second and the first becomes B1! That explains why the tour is an underground tour!

After the tour, we decided to splurge on food again! This time we went to Fishermen’s Wharf for seafood! It’s chu yi (1st day of the CNY) so another reason to enjoy good food! We paid USD $25 each and we ate clam chowder (lots of clam!), a bucket of mussels and “la-la”, crab cakes made with crab meat fillings only! Nothing but crab!!! MMmmm…. Then, we had scallops! And my favourite salmon!! Hahah..mum don worry, I only taste a bit of the mussels and crab! But ate lots of salmon! Hahah Omega! Delicious, tasty, appetizing, scrumptious, yummy, luscious, delectable and mouth-watering!!! MMMmmmm…
