I also found a nice purple cross which I thought will make a perfect gift for my purple-fanatic friend! She has got a cross from her guy but I am sure she will love this new addition to her purple-family! It’s nothing new or expensive but just thought she will appreciate it better than I do.

In case you’re wondering, these items are not from Tiffany.

It’s a fashion documentary. An invitation to the mystical world of fashion. A documentary decoding the mystery in bringing a Vogue issue to the newsstand.

september-issue

Anna Wintour’s office is like a wonderland and my dream wardrobe! Anna is like a Pope in Vogue- well respected by fashion followers in America. This documentary brought new perspective to me about Anna Wintour. It seems to me that underneath her strong, cold and glamorous self, she is very much lonely in her big big world. Her siblings find her job amusing while her daughter thinks people who take fashion too seriously are hilarious. Instead of working her ass off for fashion, her daughter would very much prefer to be the one laughing.

Through her body language in the show, she seems very protective of herself (the way she crossed her arms) and the way she speaks of her family, it seems as though she’s taking pity on herself? I don’t know. I guess anyone would appreciate some family support even women who appear strong-willed and all.

In the show, I got to know another strong character – Grace Coddington, Creative Director of American Vogue. Grace is one woman whom I respect after the show. She is strong, stylish, passionate, expressive and very human. It’s a pity that she’s like a shadow in the presence of Anna Wintour.

Are you a Mary-Janes, Stilettoes or Classic Pumps kind of girl? I know for sure, I’m the Peep-toe Shoes kind of girl! HAH. I bet you didn’t know the type of shoes you wear says a lot about your personally! HAHA.

peep toe

“Peep-toe shoes are synonymous with natural flirts. Subtlety is sexy, but you already knew it! “Wherever you are off to, you usually make a sassy entrance with your shiny open-toe heels that tilt you just a little forward, put an extra zing in your walk, and give onlookers a tiny peek of the toe cleavage.”

elegance by kathleen tessaro
A frumpy, depressed woman (Louise Canova) metamorphosized into a confident diva in Tessaro’s novel, thanks to a 40-year-old style manual (A Guide to Elegance by Genevieve Antoine Dariaux) found in a second-hand bookstore. An interesting novel which presented snippets of interesting style tips! I love Tessaro’s classy and witty novel and Madame Dariaux’s timeless style tips that are relevant (and sensible) till this day!

Here are some of my favourite tips featured in the novel!

On Accessories
“Be strict with yourself. Save. Economize on food if you must (believe me, it will do you good!) but not on your handbags or shoes. Refuse to be seduced by anything that isn’t first rate.”

Makeup
“… some beauties are born, most of us are made. Make-up is a kind of cloting for the face, and in the city a woman would no more think of showing herself make-up than she would care to walk down the street completely undressed.”

On Weight
“I recommend that you weigh not just yourself but your priorities as well. After all, God made you the way you are and there is no point fighting nature to the extent that you alienate all your friends and family with endless rules and regulations concerning what you can and cannot eat. Being slender is undoubtedly elegant but neurotic self-obsession is NOT.”

I am so going to get my hands on Madame Dariaux’s style guide!

I love chocolates. I love shoes. This can be perfect.

But I don’t think I will ever put these pretties in my mouth. It’s just so wrong.

“Frances Cooley, a cake maker, launched the range after discovering a vintage chocolate shoe mould in Belgium. She has developed a collection of individual shoes – including zebra stripes and polka dot versions – which she makes by hand in her own kitchen. … She said: ”People are wowed about them because it’s the perfect gift for a woman – chocolate and stiletto shoes put together.”

Have you not heard? Asia’s first Victoria’s Secret store is opening in Resorts World Sentosa tomorrow! OMG! Now I don’t have to shop online, get my little birdie friends or him to bring in pretty pieces in crumpled pink paper bags from the states! I am so EXCITED!

I love using eye shadows to enhance my eyes but I’m impossibly bad at it. I’m wishing this cheat sheet from AngMoGirl’s blog will help turn myself into a stunning beauty with adoring eyes! HAHA. In SbR’s spirit, a girl can dream, can’t she?

Thank you Stephanie for lending me your coats! Shit. I realized I’m going Taiwan for seven days not seven weeks. SIGH.

My sister went Langkawi with my parents and I had the opportunity to peep at her accessories!

I found this in her drawer and decided to dress up for the necklace! HAHA.

My favourite blogshop – The Scarlette – collaborated with Isetan again! WOOHOO. This time they launched some beautiful collections at Wisma Atria. Thankfully I went there with him, otherwise I would have to drink water with bread for the rest of the month.

Me: Ooo. This is a cute dress for work.

Him: Hello. Remember you don’t need this for work?

Me: HMPH.

Me: Ooo. This is so pretty. Sexy.

Him: Hello. Focus. You’re here for a purple dress for XXX’s wedding.

Me: HMPH.

In the end, I bought this from their past collections at a 30% discount. Their dresses ranges between $48 and $70 after discount. The Scarlette Originals are designed by their in-house designers and manufactured exclusively for them.

If you didn’t managed to get your hands on their Front Row Collection at Isetan Wisma Atria between November 19 – 25, you may try to get them online or at their next Front Row II launch at Isetan Scotts December 10 – 16.

I personally love Kelly! But my hips are too wide for their ‘S’ and boobs are too small for their ‘M’. HMPH. Irritated.

P.S. Amanda, Nathalie is quite cute and she bears indescribable resemblances of you.
