British artist Joe Hill who specialises in portraits and 3D pavement street art is in town! His work can be seen in Bugis Junction and I can’t wait to see it myself!

Random Thoughts. A whimsical world.

Photo at the photo wall. Thank you sister for the pretty dress! It was a Christmas present and I love it! Received lots of compliment in the dress. Haha.
I need a new haircut! My fringe looks tired again.
I was at the Official Opening of FairPrice Finest at Scotts Square and wow, a supermarket can be high fashion too. The event was fashionably cool with a two piece jazz band, lots of oysters, wine and booze, and other yummy treats. It is truly a supermarket with finesse.
The exclusive products which Finest and Finest @ Scotts carry.
The wines and boozes.
The fresh oysters which was flew in on the same day.
With the girls!
The jazz band with a beautiful voice. Reminded me of our wedding banquet!
Even though the rental at the heart of Orchard is high, FairPrice Finest at Scotts Square managed to keep their price low and similar to their other stores in the heartland area. Well done for providing value, service and range! I may be a little bias but I’m a fan of FairPrice Finest. Who does’t enjoy quality products and services at a good value. Haha.
My resourceful friend – SQ invited us to watch David Archuleta’s showcase at Zouk the other day and being a noob who has never been to one before, I’ve decided to go have a look! He sang 5 songs and I’ve heard 2 on the radio not knowing who the singer or what the song title is. All I can say is, I agree, most AI contestants can sing live!
We were seated at the VIP lounge which is at the second level, all we can see is his future bald patch pattern.
I must say he is rather small in size.
All David’s fan, below is the best picture and the closet I could get throughout the night.
*drum rolls*
He brought me to Universal Studios Singapore’s Hollywood After Hours as a prequel to my birthday celebration! I love theme park and am really excited to go! A few months back, we intended to go there as my birthday outing but we had to postpone it because of its defunct Battlestar rides! It is a good alternative while we wait patiently!
Excited!
Special appearance by Shrek.
Trying to look the part of a beauty on a car. HAH.
WAH
Magic Potion!
I love castle!
Waiting for the fireworks!
The highlight of the evening. Their firework is even better than the ones in Tokyo Disneyland!
I love these shooting-star-like fireworks!
Thank you love!
Remember a while back, I took part in NFC’s National Family Celebrations 2010 through Nuffnang’s Blogger Family Pledge Movement? Through the contest, I won a set of Luge and Skyride tickets and another set of Hippotour tickets for my family! Since my brother is having his ‘O’ level examinations and my sister is away, I shared these tickets with my grandma, aunts, uncles, niece and nephew! [This post is uber long with tons of pictures!]
My parents went to pick up my cousin and her family so we had to take the Sentosa express! Our first time on the Sentosa express which is no different from LRT or Disneyland’s monorail.
Arrived at the carnival earlier than expected!
Off lazing around at the beach while waiting for the rest!
Having icecream to beat the heat!
Exciting!
First the luge then the skyride!
Weee!
I agree!
The skyride!
Dylan was kind of nervous when handling the snake but boy, he is a courageous one! I bet my sister can’t do this!
I kissed a Merlion!
The heat is crazy! He had to get a SUPER BIG GULP!
Then we hopped on a Hippo bus when my other aunts and grandma came along!
We had a long but fun day!
Family outing is not really his cup of tea and I was a little guilty dragging him along! Thank you baby! I can’t promise I won’t drag you into this the next time but I really do appreciate your effort! Love you!
Sue Ann took part in Dorothy Perkins’ Fashion Night Out contest and won a pair of SATC2 sneak premiere tickets (all thanks to her bestie – Lai Yee! Thank you babe!). Before the movie, I was treated with awesome shopping experience at Dorothy Perkin! Have you ever gone shopping where there are guys serving you canapes? HAHA.
Look at my arms. GRRR.
SATC2 was awesome! AWESOME! It is a MUST for all SATC fans! Ignore the poor reviews you see on newspapers (I heard ST Life gave it 3.5 / 10!) and magazines! You have to watch it! It’s hilarious! I won’t say the plot is the best, but just watching the characters, relieving the good old days of SATC makes me smile! The experience was especially unique when you watch it in a theater filled with SATC fanatics! Everyone cheered, “ooohh and ahhh” and laughed at the same scene! Go watch it!
Sue Ann loves sweet popcorn! I love them too!
The awesome goodie bag!
Thank you Sue Ann for sharing this awesome movie treat!

Sue Ann and I went to CW’s piano concert on Sunday and she was awesome! I’m glad I attended despite risking public embarassment of not knowing when to clap and potentially falling asleep halfway through the classical music recital. HAH. It was good!

Read the news and it reminded me it’s World AIDS Day today. It has been more than a year since our “Hearts of Hope” project with the Patient Care Centre and I would like to take this opportunity to shout out to all SbR readers to support this cause, to not discriminate this group of people and to give them a second chance to live a fulfilling life.

I’ve collected a bunch of these beautifully handmade beaded red ribbons when I was in the project and I would like to give these red ribbons to my readers.

These ribbons will be given free with postage but with one condition, you need to prominently display these pins (e.g on your clothes, as a necklace, with your keys on your bags etc) and , if possible, send me a picture of how you display these pins! International readers welcome! To participate, simply drop me a comment!

Victor , Wai Mun and Me!
Victor and I
Watched Victor/Victoria on Tuesday with Victor and Waimun and it wasn’t too bad! Laura Fygi is sensational! Even though it wasn’t fantastic (because Broadway was way better), I still love their coordinated dance moves set in the 1930s and its non-slapstick humor. My favorite character – Norman Cassidy – King Marchan’s peroxide-blonde, spitfire girlfriend (acted by Australian actress Nicole Stinton) is hilarious! In her first few scenes, you would want to slap that dumb blonde but after a while, her airhead personality tickles the hearts of many.
Airhead and King.
“In “Victor/Victoria”, Fygi plays Victoria Grant, a struggling British singer looking to fulfill her dreams in 1930s Paris. She agrees to play a female impersonator (a drag queen) – Count Victor Grazinski – in a swanky nightclub in order to get noticed and becomes the toast of the town. However, things get complicated when a gangster falls for “her” (a drag queen) and Victoria has to choose between love and her passion.”
