We attended the play – Cooling Off day and had a great laugh at some serious topics echoed by the grievances / opinions of the heatlanders.

The second run of this sold-out hit of the Man Singapore Theatre Festival 2011 is equally popular with full house audience on a weekday! The essence of this play is formed by the responses of the interviews playwright Alfian Sa’at collected in the months leading up to the 2011 GE. With these interviews where some are optimistic, some riotously frank, some fearful, some painfully honest – it captured the emotions on ground before/during/after the 2011 GE.

I had a great laugh but after the laugh, I reflected on some of the topics discussed and left with a heavy heart.

// That’s all for now. I shall see my mood for the other posts! Hah.

Last week was an art / cultural explosion week for me! I went to a musical, a play, a social painting session and a piano ensemble. It was an enjoyable yet tiring week! I was supposed to spend 2 of these activities with him but his boss decided to whisk him off to Seattle for a meeting instead. So too bad for him while I had crazy nights with various groups of people!

Girls Night Musical, Girl Talk (a sold out off-Broadway musical) is a wild night of fun, dance and laughter (for people wishes to relax, dance and laugh out loud!). I love that despite having differing personalities, the three girls remain as close friends after their “last radio show”, and it is kind of like us SSSS girls!

Barbara – a tough lady who drinks like a man and shops at Walmart, Janice – the little miss perfect (or so we think), a workaholic and an uptight lady who owns expensive shoes and lastly the crowd favourite (among the girls) Dr Laura (who managed to scare off a few guys in the audience) – an energetic, crazy and sexually uninhibited lady who is incredibly flexible.

They spoke candidly on all women related topics; sex, menopause, childbirth, shopping, marriage, divorce, affairs, men and all things true in this crumbling world. Some topics are sad but true and girls should just laugh out loud with their girlies to get through the tough times.

Thank you SQ for the tickets! I’m glad it was an all girls night because I cannot imagine the boys sitting through this without their faces all red with embarrassment. HAHA.

On a side note, I love Jubilee hall for its charm and old world look.

Here are a whole bunch of pictures we took at Universal Studio! I love theme parks and I love roller coasters!

Note: Please turn your head away from the screen if you experience any giddiness from viewing the following pictures. My beauty may be a little challenging for most people to appreciate.

You can probably tell from our sleepy face that we woke up early for the rides! Hee.

I found this video on YouTube. Hilarious! When game hero met the princess!

You must have heard about the woos and boos of the latest gadget – iPad – otherwise I’ll suggest that you relocation yourself to Mars! iPad was launch yesterday with much anticipation but instead of hearing cheers from fans, the launch left many fans disappointed. Some even started giving it names like “iPod on steroids” and even linking it to its “counterpart” iTampon. YIKES.
ipad-touch

I love iPad! I mean, what’s not to love about the ease of reading blogs, surfing net and playing online games wirelessly and on a much wider screen with a 10 hour battery life. This means I won’t have to lug my 2kg laptop around looking for the nearest available power point to feed my electricity-guzzling machine! Isn’t that awesome! Alright! I must agree. Its name is neither sophisticated nor chic but surely the style and pleasure of using an iPad more than compensate its name?

ipad spoof

Someone showed me this link, a spoof of iPad by Mad TV on youtube. It was disturbing. Guys seriously don’t understand the discomfort/pain we go through every month do they! Half the time I was squirming rather than laughing. YIKES.

cougar town

Channel 5 will be showing Cougar Town at 10pm today! I have a feeling it’ll be good! It’s been a while since any good sitcom comedy was shown on TV. I love Courteney Cox.

OMG! OMG! OMG! Chicago The Musical is coming to Singapore! I so need to watch it! But the cheapest seat is S$70! For $70 you will be seated miles away from the stage!

I am depressed.

Note: At least now you know a method which guarantees 100% success rate in asking me out on a date! HAHA. A girl can always dream right!

HAHA. Don’t worry Ms Peony, I still love you.

I am over with Boys over Flowers. I must admit. I am a closet F4 fan. -_-

I’ve seen the original Japanese anime, the Taiwanese version and now the Korean version (just lacking Japan’s Hana Yori Dango ).

I realized Gu Jun Pyo looks just like Dao Ming Si! Oh Gu Jun Pyo.

And So Yi Jung is too cute to resist. He looks like a younger and cuter version of Taiwanese Pan Wei Po.

Sigh. My cool factor just went down by a 100 points.
