I stumbled across this site and wow, I’m amazed. Scroll down to see more of it or click here. It’s so intricate and I see how old pencils can be put to good use!

My personal favourite!

Madness!

Came across Allister Ann’s little project in transforming her house into a home. It was brilliant. Just looking at the little details and creativity around her house makes me excited!

I think I need her study!

All photos are from here. The photos I picked her didn’t do her justice (only those which I thought will come in handy in the future! HAH) so you got to see them all here.

CW recommended this new blog a while ago, the first question I asked upon hearing the blog name was, “Is it about gay guys?”. To my relief (I thought she’s now into alternative guys!), it’s just about guys (gay or happy) but she did mentioned, “They may just enjoy them as much as we do!”. HAH.

I have to agree with the owner of this blog, “There are plenty of attractive men in the world, but unfortunately few of them that are avid readers.”. After looking through this site, I started noticing guys who are reading on the train, especially the hot ones, and the titles they read (hopefully not some erm you know)! And I must agree, it is kinda of rare (especially in our tiny island) to find Hot Guys Reading Books. HMPH.

Don’t rub your eyes, you are not seeing things! There are indeed faces in places! All around you, in places you least expected!

I chance upon a feature of Faces in Places in a magazine on my flight back and it was adorable!

I am not a selfish bride-to-be for I love all things beautiful! I love that people are placing extra efforts in creating beautiful weddings even in an island filled with cookie-cutter wedding vendors which strongly discourage personalization.

In this new I love Wedding Blogs series; I am going to share with all brides-to-be out there some of my favourite wedding blogs both local and international! It’s also a strategy to entice friends of marriageable age to join my club just so I have a few more people to share, discuss, gripe and bitch about all things related to Weddings.

stylemeprettylogoSo here goes. Style Me Pretty is my top favourite! I love the gorgeous weddings they feature and the fact that they are mainly outdoor weddings! I love outdoor weddings! I always dream of walking down the aisle in a meadow of flowers or at the side of a gorgeous beach! But of course, we don’t have any of these here but a pretty garden wedding is more than sufficient! Style Me Pretty is my source of inspiration in crafting a perfect outdoor wedding with lots of DIY décor!

Foreword: In collaboration with Sue Ann’s 100th Post Anniversary in Project Love 365, four world famous, gorgeous and gifted bloggers – Cheng Wei aka Squareberry, Shi Hui from Portie’s rabbit hole, Taitong from Defying Gravity and myself from SbR –  are invited to share their thoughts on “Happily Ever After”. So what if my make-believe world only consists of five bloggers (plus Sue Ann)! HAH. So here goes!

Happily_Ever_AFter_by_aviewfromthetop

“Happily Ever After” is often associated with fairy tales when the princess and the prince say I do. It signify a happy ending where one finds his/her true love and lives happily with them for the rest of their life and be constantly happy with no end. It seems like “Happily Ever After” is what everyone is looking for at least at some stage in life so it seems that “Happily Ever After” is the final destination/goal in life.

When will “Happily Ever After” starts? When you find your true love? So, after you found him/her, what’s next? People around will start asking for their wedding date. Wait! I thought “Happily Ever After” was here after one found his/her true love?

Fine maybe not. Maybe it only happens when one gets married! Right. So couples spend months and tons of money planning for their dream wedding hoping it’s finally “Happily Ever After”. After spending much effort, surely “Happily Ever After” is here?!

Along the way, the couple starts having kids and starts stressing over their child’s growth and development, education and career, his/her “Happily Ever After”, his/her family, his/her kids, his/her kids’ growth and development, his/her kids’ education and career and if they live long enough, his/her kids’ “Happily Ever After”.

Where the heck is “Happily Ever After”? When is it coming? My point is this – will there ever be a time when you are constantly happy with no end?

With much self discussion, my definition of “Happily Ever After” is a state of mind where one experience happiness and assume that this happiness will last forever. Happiness is often associated with happenings / events like, finding one true love, getting married or having kids. Happiness is fickle, shallow and fleeting. Sad but true.

Instead of debating when that fickle-minded “Happily Ever After” will ever turn up, I would rather seek Joy, Christian Joy, where the source of joy comes from God regardless of your circumstances.

“Rejoice in the Lord.” (Philippians 3:1)

Instead of pursing Happily Ever After, let’s all seek “Joyfully Ever After.”

I want one of these in our little new loft! Absolutely Beautiful Things from Brisbane, Australia is my new inspiration.

A while back, my sister introduced That’s Chic‘s blog and I love it! Not just for her fashion inspiration but also her décor inspiration. Love it.

study room

This is going to be our study room. Simple, functional and a little messy. HAH.

I was visiting his cousin’s brand new place and we realized that apartments in Singapore look too alike. It’s saddening. There are no longer personal styles, themes or creative spaces to talk about anymore. It’s usually a living space with a dining table, a nice lamp on top of the table, a sofa at the side, a TV console in front of the sofa and a feature wall or wall paper display behind the TV and all these usually comes in black/white/grey.

I want a Scandinavian – New Yorker Loft look.

I like Lady Melbourne’s lounge room. Even though the colours are mainly black/white/earth, it has a personal touch to it. I love it.
