I believe in presenting manicured toes whenever I wear open toes / peep toes shoes / heels.

Being lazy and superficial, I only painted the first two. HAHA.

Etude house has opened another store in Ion Orchard and using the same marketing tactics in Korea, they started giving out freebies just to make you visit the stores. But, where are the cute Korean girls and boys?

I was at the L’Oreal Beauty Sale this afternoon and gosh I bought enough haircare products to last me for months. The event wasn’t hugely publicized (which was a good thing!) and everything was in an orderly manner. Here are the loots.

For the benefits of my readers, here are the prices.
I am a happy girl with potentially smooth and managed hair!

I bought a bunch of Mac and Sephora cosmetics (eye colours, blusher and lippie!) using the gift vouchers that my dear friends gave me for my birthday. I love Jack – guy at the Mac counter. He’s truly professional and has an eye for colours. He also patiently taught me the various techniques in applying eye shadows. Compared to the staffs mending the Sephora Cosmetics Booth, he was much more skillful. Let’s just say the Sephora staffs made me look like an abused victim while Jack brought sparkles to my eyes.
Thank you friends for the voucher! Thank you Jack for the advice! Thank you Jason for waiting patiently while I messed up my face with fancy colours!
This is strange.

“It’s (mascara) very easily contaminated by your eyes and repeated use, and there [are] all kinds of bacteria that surround the eyes and eye lashes,” says Dr. Pugliese. He says mascara should not be kept over three months. As a rule, never use another person’s mascara, adds Dr. Pugliese. There’s a little microscopic mites in all our lashes—usually one in ten lashes!

Thank you mummy!
(My sister hates me, but I don’t care. LOL)

Everyone knows the goodness of the vitamin rich citrus fruit, ORANGE! But do you know that you can also apply it on your skin? Here are some beauty quick tips (from marie clarie) which doesn’t burn a hole in your pocket!
Orange Yogurt Mask
- Plain yogurt (I used bout 2 tablespoons.)
- Freshly squeezed orange juice (I used 1 quarter of an orange.)
- Simply mix both ingredients
The mask is a great way to cleanse and nourish your skin especially when you’re missing out on your much needed beauty sleep. I personally tried this and found this very moisturising (from the yorgurt) and I love the prickly sensation (from the fruit). It probably cost less than $1 for each application.
I came across this website and found their business model rather interesting. It is a site which gives out free samples (cosmetics, skincare etc) to consumers.
The logic is simple.
Consumers are always curious if a certain products work for them and would very much prefer to try them out before they purchase them.
Companies believe their products are damn good and once consumers try them, they will eventually buy them.
Fr3b (sampling hub) acts as a middlemen by getting all the samples from the companies and passing them on to their consumers while making money through advertisement revenue.
The catch? Consumers got to pay a nominal postage fee ($1.60 – $2.40) for their freebies and write reviews for the samples they got.
So how do you start?
(1) Register for an account. List your skin, hair, eye etc characteristics for a better sample match.
(2) Click sample gallery and grab up to 4 samples using the points given to you (6 points to start off with, each sample cost 2 points).
(3) Contribute to the delivery fee
(4) Wait patiently for the samples
(5) Try the samples and write a review to earn more points for future redemption
Out of curiosity, I’ve decided to register an account and started grabbing some samples.
(1) Nexcare Non Exposure Tapes
SbR: Wondering if these tapes are stronger and better than the ones I currently used (Hollywood Tapes). If they are I might jolly well use this since it is cheaper!
Leveraging on 3M’s strength in adhesive technology, Nexcare introduces an all-new ultra-thin film that you can use as a cosmetic aid to avoid those embarrassing moments and look good in your outfit effortlessly! Unlike ordinary tapes that may give you a ‘visible bump’ on your clothing, 3M Nexcare Non Exposure tapes are transparent, ultra-thin and can be used on both clothing to clothing and clothing to skin without causing discomfort. It holds on strongly, even during perspiration yet gentle enough for use on sensitive skin.
Sample set includes : 1 Retail Pack of Nexcare Non-Exposure Tapes (24 Strips)
