Finally! An innocent post all about food! Nothing about wedding! It’s just a feature about cakes! We stumbled upon Pine Garden’s Cake last weekend without realizing their popularity among cake lovers!

They have interesting flavours like Lychee Martini and Bailey’s Choc Crunch!

We tried their Blackforest and Lychee martini! I love their Blackforest! I love the liquor in there! I love their soft fluffy sponge cakes with the sinful creams in between!

I saw these pretty butter cookies! Erm, if only I can have them on my dessert table during my wedding (sorry guys!) it will be perfect! But a tiny bag of these cost $2.50!

So far so good. It’s still a decent post introducing cakes! Nothing about wedding. Until. I. Saw. Their. Magazine features up on their wall! It’s all from Style Weddings!

The sensitive bridezilla rising in action! They create wedding cakes and Guo Da Li cakes too (cakes to be given to relatives a few weeks before your actual day)!

Alluring wedding cakes!

Exquisite wedding favours!

Savory mini cakes!

Fine. So what if this post is related to wedding. Sue me! HAHA.

I saw the veil come off in part today, and i was smitten by the off-white facade glowing in the glorious sunset.

I can just imagine sipping a mojito with the missus at the balcony already. Nice!

I am pleased to bring you my next blog feature in the weekly “I love Wedding Blogs” series!

For readers who are new to SbR, the writer is a self confessed bridezilla who is often dreaming about her perfect wedding. In her pursue to bring beautiful things to her dream wedding, she found countless of inspiring wedding blogs which she generously shares with all her readers (willing or unwilling victims)! Hence, the weekly sharing in SbR’s “I love Wedding Blogs” series! Ok. I shall cut the crap and stop talking from a third person.

In this week’s wedding blog, I found a divine source of inspiration to select colour themes for weddings!  Michelle Mospens is a brilliant and wedding obsessed artist who founded My Personal Artist – a business providing custom and hand painted invitations! In her sketchbook, you will find the latest wedding color trends, stunning wedding invitation ideas and wording etiquette.

If you are looking for a colour theme for your wedding, you are in for a treat!

This is the place where I found my wedding colour theme! YES. I am announcing my wedding colour theme right here right now!

I’ve been trying to find colours which match baby blue (for a reason which I will reveal closer to date) and till date this is the best combination I’ve found! It’s brilliant! It’s neither too pinkish-girly-wedding-ly nor overly used. I like that it’s a little whimsical, a little lively and is able to blend to the nature!

The closest Pantone® color matches {by viewing on a computer screen} are Coral 1785, Ice Blue 278 and Buttercup Light Yellow 1205

According to Michelle, this colour palette mixes modern textures with nature and art! Awww.

I found this video on YouTube. Hilarious! When game hero met the princess!

He wants to put on a vest during our wedding. Here are some inspirations I found in welovelaughkiss! Nice!

If you think the tissue pack with “Seat Reserved” is cool, this is even better! HAHA. I can’t imagine FairPrice selling this!

Q. What’s the difference between a new husband and a new dog?

A. After a year, the dog is still excited to see you.

This entry is not about wedding. It’s just a regular post. You know when people shared nice pictures and you just want to share with people whom you love (that’s you!). Stephanie shared this with me. The guy featured is her cousin. This entry is so not about wedding.

DAMN. I think the picture is a dead give away. The dress the lady is wearing doesn’t help either. The category I posted this entry in ain’t discreet enough. SHUCKS. IT IS ABOUT WEDDING. I am suffering from some I-can’t-help-but-blog-about-wedding Disorder. According to Ian, this is so “Un-fun”. DANG.

Eco-friendly reusable bags, Channel 8, 10pm, 29 May 2010

Many people are unaware that many recycled bags are not biodegradable and if they are disposed of in large quantities, they may cause more environmental problems than plastic bags. When the ‘Bring your own bag’ campaign first started three years ago, only 3% of shoppers brought their own bags to supermarkets. Subsequently, the number rose to 10% in the second year. Although recycled bags are considered environmentally friendly, they are difficult to dispose of if they have imprints on them or are stained with oil. Moreover, it is more expensive to produce these recycled bags, as compared to plastic bags, leading to greater wastage. However, these recycled bags are deemed environmentally friendly as they can be reused and that prevents wastage. They can help to cut down resources and protect the environment if they are better utilised.

I need to rant about this.

People, stop hoarding those reusable bags when you have no intention to reuse them or to stop taking plastic bags while shopping!

Company, stop giving out these bags as goodie bags! It’s nothing but wastage when people are not using them!
