It’s still Day One and we were at Beijing’s Beijing National Stadium – Bird Nest and Beijing National Aquatics Center – Water Cube.
The structure of Bird Nest is rather amazing! The “porous” characteristics allowed wind to pass through at its side yet protecting the audience from the rain with its roof.

We saw many miniature Bird Nest along the way!
Pretty yellow flowers!
We bought some paper kites and JW flew them for 3 minutes before the guard stopped us!
I can imagine how dazzling the Water Cube will get at night, shining like a jewel box!
