The following conversation is based on a nasty experience my aunt had with a reputable facial / spa chain (HINT: Ci__Spa).

Aunt: So how’s my skin condition so far?
Beautician: It’s alright.
Aunt: Any signs of skin sagging?
Beautician: AIYA, unless there’s no gravity in this world, your skin will surely sag!
Aunt: O_O

You can imagine the rest of her experience. Don’t even ask about the nationality of the beautician, I don’t want to be a nationalicist but this lady is definitely tactless to the max.

I love peep-toe heels, especially those with a personality!

I’m a happy girl.

Stephanie gave us one of these during our dinner gathering after our training! This is not a condom even though the packaging may look like one. It’s actually a Moove Love badge!

Moove Love is a 3 month long charity campaign till 31st Dec, targeting to raise $100,000 for The Home Nursing Foundation through the sales of Moove Love Merchandises. The merchandises come in 5 personality cows – fun, crazy, rock, cool and sexy, created to bring joy to the land. (Read all about it here!)

Through random selection (just like the Ti-Kam, Ti-Kam from the olden days) I got myself a Fun Badge!

The Fun personality cow is full of excitement, merriment and playfulness (just like me!). With the Fun personality cow, you never need to experience another dull moment, for he is simply full of life (that’s me!). Endowed with an optimistic outlook, his mojo comes from being able to just let loose and enjoy the moment. A lively personality that would surely brighten up your day!

Thank you Stephanie!

Go get yours today or tomorrow!

It was my last day at my first posting on Friday and gosh, it was an emotional day. Thank you all for making my stay a pleasant and enjoyable one! And thank you all for the presents too!

The Presents

IMG_0279

An Indian culture inspired note book which I’m in love with!

IMG_0303

A gorgeous and stylish watch from DKNY from my colleagues and manager! (They made me tear through many layers of newspaper to get to my present! How evil!)

A lucky penny (a dollar actually) from the Seventies which I adore! (I’ve never seen this vintage penny before and I love it!)

Now, I’m all ready for a greater and exciting challenge and journey ahead in my next posting.

Inch Chua.

I was recently introduced to the work of Inch Chua – a local independent artist. I love her airy, acoustic and whimsical music creations. “Aqueous Oblivion” is my personal favourite!

Remember the Kissable cookies I made for him during our anniversary? It was actually Clabber Girl.

The old fashioned girl from the states can actually make tasty chewy oatmeal raisin cookies! I know I shouldn’t have claimed credits from her but I’m sure my mixing efforts did contribute to the end product. Clabber Girl is definitely better than Mr Jiffy but I’m still very much in love with Betty.

His birthday is about a month’s time away!

I need gift ideas again!

Following my previous post about me giving birth to a baby (which is completely false), a concerned friend emailed to convey his unease about my (imaginary) child turning out just like me.

His reasons given were, “I’m so noisy, so violent, and so crazy, and like to open mouth so big.”

In my defense, I replied,

“I am not noisy. I’m chirpy, cheerful and friendly.
I’m not violent. I’ve skill in self defense.
I’m not crazy. I’m spontaneous, creative and fun!
I do not open my mouth so big. I’m just a little vocal and expressive.
DUH”

SHUCKS. Why am I even having this email exchanges with him?! Grrrr.

7.45 AM.

I lugged 3 boxes of cakes, a laptop and a handbag up the cab.

Cabdriver: “Eh, you giving out baby’s full month cake ah?”

Do I look like I just gave birth to a baby?

-_-
