I have a feeling my awards benefactors will flip if they know how I spend the Borders card.

I bought a bunch of Mac and Sephora cosmetics (eye colours, blusher and lippie!) using the gift vouchers that my dear friends gave me for my birthday. I love Jack – guy at the Mac counter. He’s truly professional and has an eye for colours. He also patiently taught me the various techniques in applying eye shadows. Compared to the staffs mending the Sephora Cosmetics Booth, he was much more skillful. Let’s just say the Sephora staffs made me look like an abused victim while Jack brought sparkles to my eyes.
Thank you friends for the voucher! Thank you Jack for the advice! Thank you Jason for waiting patiently while I messed up my face with fancy colours!
Jane Thai Food
400 Orchard Road, Orchard Towers, #04-30
Jane Thai Food serves authentic Thai cuisine at the infamous shopping mall – The Orchard Towers. For the benefits of readers who are not familiar with Orchard Towers, it is a place which comes alive when dusk falls. A place filled with scantily dressed women, pot-bellied Caucasians and other variations of tourists and foreigners who were there for its seedy pubs, dodgy massage parlors and the you-know-what. It’s unofficially (by SbR) called Pat Pong at Orchard Towers.

Honestly, Jane Thai Food does not serve the best Thai food but it’s definitely one of the better ones that I’ve tried. Besides, dining is all about the total experience – food, service and ambience – and Jane Thai Food truly provided us with a unique experience.

Best of Blogshops
#01-62 & #04-52(A) Far East Plaza, 14 Scotts Road
Tel: 6836 9648.
This interesting shop which was recently featured on Weekend Today caught my attention. Newly opened (ok, I am a Noob, it’s not THAT new) in Far East Plaza, Best of Blogshops carries clothes from various local online blogshops such as Tracyeinny and Runway Bandits.
Headed down with an expectation to find some chic affordable pieces I was disappointed. Yes, the usual benefits of brick and mortar such as, ability to feel and try on the clothes, instant enjoyment of purchases and ability to mix clothes from various labels exist but the lifeless clothes on the rack and messy display drowned all initial excitement. I still very much prefer the comfort and liberty of shopping online in my pyjamas 24/7 and the excitement of receiving and ripping the parcels apart.
This is strange.
My laptop sounds like it’s going to explode in my face.
I love this food establishment! True to their words, they provide good food for a cause! I remembered they were one of the few cafes who readily agreed to participate in the Hearts of Hope project last year without much persuasion, really nice people!

Besides being a social entrepreneur, they also serve excellent food! I love their affordable Special Set (consisting of a combination of sandwich and soup/salad at $11.90) and sinful but amazing desserts. To top it up, it was really cozy with awesome service!

Oven-Roasted Steak (medium rare) Juicy medium rare slices of beef roasted with thyme and olive oil, drizzled with pommery mustard and balsamic dressing
Chinese Chicken Caesar We cover a bed of little gem leaves, with slices of ginger-poached chicken breast, drizzled with sesame ginger soya dressing, garnished with a sprinkle of crispy anchovies and coriander leaves and topped with dark soya-braised eggs with soft-boiled yolks.

Sticky Marshmallow Brownie Cup Chunks of our Really Rich Chocolate Brownies packed with hot sticky marshmallows and a cup of Espresso drizzled over. Topped off with ice-cream.
Aunty Sandra’s Chocolate Banana Malteser
Sigh, if only Aunty Sandra’s recipe comes in a box like Betty! Thank you girls for the post birthday celebration and the desserts!

SiQi, Serene, CW and Imaginary SueAnn on your right.

Elmo stuck in a bottle.

Elmo enjoying his ride.

Elmo smiled with the broadest grin ever.
Note: Yes, I noticed that I’m featuring too many softies in SbR. But I’m just really bored.

It’s been a long while since I last catch a movie with a girlfriend! I love the movie! It’s funny, witty, heart warming and there’s certainly more depth than the usual chick flick! Did I mention Sandra Bullock is feminine, charming and absolutely sexy?
