I am speechless. I must say, the brain behind this idea is strangely courageous . On a side note, Timothy does look like a happy boy.

Hi Serene

It’s alright. You can contribute in many other ways.

Fyi., the EV (Evaluation) report is out. The report (from MOE) recommends that we liaise with you to motivate our students to study hard. Are you able to share your study skills/secrets with our graduating students during one of the morning assembly? Say from 7.30 to 8 am? Please let me know.

Thanks.

Best Regards

Freak. I am in their alumni group. Study secrets? Just study damn hard. Or maybe, osmosis works too. How about putting your books under your pillow? I have no idea what my secrets are. Just study. 730am! Maybe I will reply his email next week after I figure out what my study secrets are.

My brother loves Jolly Shandy. He is fifteen and drinking this lemonade (50%) and beer (50%) concoction made him feel eighteen.

“Jolly Shandy now comes in a great new packaging that is energetic and youthful looking. The Lemon flavour packs a tangy great taste as well as added Vitamin C for that refreshing feeling.

Jolly Shandy is the perfect drink for today’s young and trendy who live a lifestyle by the adage ‘Refreshingly Different’. Jolly Shandy Lemon is available in 320ml cans nationwide.”

When he drinks this yellow drink with 1% alcohol content, he feels like this.

But 20 years down the road. I think he will look like this. HA HA.

Note: I wish I know how to use Photoshop. But sadly I am still stuck in the Paint and Powerpoint era.

I am so bored. So freaking bored. Two minutes ago I was toying with the idea that maybe I should start studying preparing for my law paper. But the freaking exam is 14 days away! URGH. Somebody ask me out!

It has been a while since we last saw an ad that is truly creative. The ad campaign for Soyjoy, Japanese fruit bar product, targeting working women who are health and weight conscious was developed locally by Ogilvy & Mather Singapore. Much buzz has been created by the two commercials and a print ad since its first airing in early April.

I love their ads and I may just love their products. There’s no doubt that the ad campaign was extremely effective in generating product awareness and trial behavior. But after giving Soyjoy a try – the berry flavored ones – I was utterly disappointed. The ad campaign was awesome. But the product tasted like expired mooncake crust bearing some strange berry (wolfberries) flavor in a bar. Maybe I should have picked safer flavors like Apple walnut or Peanut chocolate chip but I will surely give a second thought before picking up the bar the next time.

What a pity. I guess some marketers tend to forget that advertisements and promotions form only part of the 4 Ps and they need to work on their other Ps like Product to make it work. Essentially, you want your consumer to love your product and not just your ad campaign.

I got rejected yet again. I think China is calling out to me.

Going away for a short getaway in Batam. Yes. Again! But this time without the torture (I hate cable ski!) and only the pampering spa treatment.

Uniqlo opens today! And it was freaking crowded. For the first time, like a typical Singaporean, I queued to get in there. The queue was ridiculous but definitely necessary to ensure comfortable in-store shopping experience. No pictures were taken because there were just way too many heads, hands, mess and colourful clothes all over the place.

What I love? Their jeans! For a mere $49.90 (Only during this promotional period from 9 – 19 April, originally $69.90), you can get a nice fitted jeans with FREE alteration services. You heard me. $49.90. FREE alteration! I bought a dark denim skinny and I am already thinking of getting a second one in a different shade!

Gosh. We all know. Uniqlo is like Japan’s Giordano, only chic-er.  And Giordano is famous for their good services other than their basics. In Uniqlo, their service staff is unbelievably efficient, friendly and helpful.

For example, my sister and I squeeze into the same fitting room (Yes, we have no choice!! There were just way too many people and way too little rooms!) then these lovelies were there to offer opinion as to the sizes, conquer the crowd just to grab the perfect size for us (even for items on sale!) while we waited patiently in the fitting room with our undies, provide FREE alteration services, and answer to all our requests in the most pleasant way despite the madness in-store. WOW. Even I (the customer from hell) was truly impressed.

Enough said. Go grab your basics from Uniqlo to match whatever that is in your wardrobe.

I need to get a job before my mum sends me to work in China and to pick up Business Mandarin. She says if I can’t get a job, I can work in the company she is working in, in Shanghai. Shanghai sounds good. The pay is alright after adding overseas allowance. But the industry is not exactly sexy.

I got rejected. Again. 4th in a row. All during the final stage. It sucks.
