Steve, get well soon!

Away for a smashing “good” time at Batam.

A little birdie forwarded an email to me this afternoon. LOL.

Hi xxx,

Happy New Year.

Was just having a chat with little birdie (who joined us at the end of last year) and we both agreed that xxx business students going for career interviews tend to dress too conservatively and look alike (you don’t want to be candidate number 1034 or was it 1043?). They should have a bit more colour in their dressing. The standard outfit of a white blouse/shirt with a blue/black suit may be safe but borders on the verge of being boring (oh no no no, you don’t want to bore your interviewer with what you wear before what you say). A dash of yellow, pink, beige shirt/blouse in a dark suit may have a greater impact.

Just our opinions.

In any case, we thought of dropping by to have lunch with you in the next few weeks to catch up and also discuss the possible implementation of an internship programme with xxx company.

xxx

Note: Little birdie, maybe you should have a series / posting to educate the rest of my readers on how to dress to impress.

Amandina et al. is launching a new collection in The Scarlette at an exclusive Ettusais event. Go look at it and you’ll understand what my sister and I are ooo-ing and ahh-ing about.

Thank you Singnet.

Hear it from the horse’s mouth (letter).

Imagine.

A girl. Went Myanmar.

Didn’t really feel like shitting there (because the toilet is stinky, dirty and simply  gross).

But then…

She got that URGE that night.

She had TO SHIT.

(Squatting over the shit-hole in the dark toilet)

Hmmmm…. Shiok…. Finally get to shit. Ahhh…..

(Feeling damn satisfied with the process of releasing toxic waste she will have a good night sleep that night. She even held a mini celebration to celebrate the end of her constipation by doing a little dance in her dorm. She must be really happy.)

The next morning…

She got a weird feeling on her butt.

The mosquitoes had a feast the previous night.

-_-“

Can you imagine how delighted both my sister the girl and the mosquitoes feel that very faithful night? One from the comfort after the shitting process. The other during the ENTIRE shitting process.

Hehe.

It is just like Cold Stone, the one I had with Colin and Val in LA, where you select the flavors and mix-ins (Orea cookies, Tim Tams, Granola etc) and they will smash and mix it up on the chef’s rock.

icecream

I tried Mrs Smith (Chunky apple bits in granny smiths apple ice cream with a complimentary hint of cinnamon) with Granola and Rum The Raisins with Tim Tams. Awesome. Quality ice-cream blended with my favorite mix-ins for the added flavors and textures.

Henderson Waves

At 36 metres above Henderson Road, Henderson Waves is the highest pedestrian bridge in Singapore. It was built to connect the two hills of Mount Faber and Telok Blangah Hill.

The bridge has a unique wave-form made up of seven undulating curved steel “ribs” that alternately rise over and under its deck. The curved “ribs” form alcoves that function as shelters with seats within.

Slats of yellow balau wood, an all-weather timber found in South-East Asia, are used in the decking. Look out for carvings on the slats marking the height you are at on various points along the bridge.

The wave-forms will be lit with attractive LED light from 7pm to 2am daily, giving the bridge an illuminative glow. (I didn’t know that!)

Jason was bored. I forced him to clean up my room the previous day. He went shopping for groceries with my family that morning. He was extremely bored.

He suggested Bukit Timah Hill, which probably involves primates (an army), mosquitoes and other bugs, I suggested The Henderson Wave instead.

Henderson wave. Only saw 2 peaceful families of monkeys. Not a single mosquito. A view with minimum effort (200 – 300 steps).
